Mountains with better peaks!
Earlier today a Mojang dev put out this tweet which shows the stark contrast between the old mountains before the snapshots and the new ones. The peaks are more pointy now and look more realistic than before. Hence the mountains look even better than before in Minecraft 1.18 Snapshot 21w39a!
Old worlds now can be updated
Yes, it is officially been revealed. The players who’ve been playing in the same world for years were worried whether they’ll have to get rid of their old world in order to update. But it turns out the devs have finally managed to make updating to a new world a possibility in this new update!
New advancements
A couple of new advancements were added to the game. A villager when traded at the word limit will give you a new advancement called star trader. Then you have to jump from the world height limit straight down to the bedrock. That’ another new advancement in Minecraft 1.18 Snapshot 21w39a.
