The hip hop genre is has diverged into many different sub-genres since its inception. Screamo Rap is one such sub-genre that traces its roots to death-metal bands and rap alike. The screamo rap movement is a gory mix of the punk and metal sounds popularised by bands and intense rapping from hip hop. To say the least the genre tries to merge best of the both worlds.
The definition of screamo rap provided above is a mere simplification of what the genre has. Probably the biggest name in this screamo rap/ trap-metal sub-genre is Scarlxrd who blew up after the release of his insane track known called heart attack!
