Going Emo! Skrillex Confirms Reunion With Emo Band ‘From First To Last’

Skrillex is going emo once again!

The talented EDM producer has been in the news for a number of different reasons. Whether it’s his on and off again association with Diplo, new music, live performances and what not; the star can’t seem to stay out of the headlines. Now, as his latest venture would have it, Sonny John Moore has confirmed that he has rejoined his emo outfit ‘From First To Last’ after he parted ways with the band in 2007 to pursue his solo career as Skrillex. The young producer confirmed the news at the 59th annual Grammy awards on Sunday, February 12th.

Talking to APTV Correspondent Nick Major, the star said, “I left the band, but I would say I’m not left anymore.”

However, the star was quick to put rumours to rest, that he has abandoned his Skrillex project as a result of his reunion with ‘From First To Last’. He said, “I’m not stopping what I’m doing with Skrillex either, but I haven’t left [the band] anymore.”

In what can be described as a comeback, From First To Last played their first show in 10 years at ‘Emo Nite’ in Los Angeles earlier this month! According to rockandmetalnewz, the band played out seven songs of theirs. You can check out Skrillex performing vocals on tracks like “Note To Self” and “Secret’s Don’t Make Friends” in this official 14 minute footage of the gig below.

It’s turning out to be quite a jam packed few weeks for Skrillex, having just played a headline set at Daft Punk’s pop-shop-cum-museum opening in LA and with the announcement of rejoining the band.
