“Bacardi Triangle Is The Party Of The Century”

Says Nikhil Chinapa about the music event that will be held in a private Caribbean island from October 30-November 2; adds he is looking forward to playing a set at the party, as well as catching headliner Ellie Goulding’ performance

Before he heads to one of the most unique music events in recent history – Bacardi Triangle – The Sherp caught up with Nikhil Chinapa, who is going to be be playing at the party. The DJ-music promoter chatted about many things – from the star-studded line-up, comprising Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding, to staying like “royalty” for the entire duration of his stay. Read on.

Sherp : What are you looking forward to the most at the Bacardi Triangle?

Nikhil : I look forward to hanging out with tons of fun people from all over the world.  I’m also playing a set at one of the parties there with Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding.

We have no idea where and how the Bacardi Triangle is going to take place, the guys over at Bacardi have done a great job of keeping this a secret. What’s your insight on it?

Yes, a lot of the details have been kept secret, to create an air of excitement and anticipation for the parties. All we know is that we’re living like royalty for the entire duration of our stay; heading directly to a beautiful resort on the day of arrival and then being transported to the private island where all the events will take place, with Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar and Ellie Goulding will be playing exclusive sets for the crowd.

According to you, what makes this music event distinct from the others on the circuit?

The fact that it’s without doubt – the party of the century! A private island in the Bermuda Triangle hosting three of the world’s most legendary artistes? Yes please, I’ll have some of that!

As an attendee yourself, whose set are you looking forward to catching?

I’m looking forward to Ellie’s set the most. I’ve never heard her perform and she’s got a voice that’s been touched by the hand of God.

Kolkata, Bangalore and then Goa, how has the Road to the Bacardi Triangle been so far?

A bit twisted but lots of fun! The parties have all been amazing and we’ve shot some great stories around them too which are on my YouTube channel – youtube.com/nikhilcx

If you could take only three things to the Bacardi Triangle, what would they be and why?

A caravan, A masseuse and a circus clown dressed as a football quarterback.  The caravan for a quick lie-down and a massage between marathon dancing sessions.. the masseuse for the massages and the circus clown to tackle anyone who wanted to take a selfie while I was dancing.

Who is your favorite festival/rave buddy? Would you consider taking him/her along with you to the Bacardi Triangle, considering it’s a place where you can easily get lost?

It’s Pearl. Music and the experience around it only feels complete when she’s around to share it with. Pearl’s playing a set at the Bacardi Triangle too and I’m really pleased we’re going to experience this together!

Tell us something we don’t know about Bacardi Triangle?

Honestly, there’s a bunch of stuff I don’t know either; I guess we’ll all find out in time. All I know is that Bacardi is coordinating three charter flights from London, New York and LA to the Bermuda Triangle.

We’re just a week away from the Bacardi Triangle and The Sherp cannot contain his excitement! Follow @BacardiMusicCDs to stay tuned for live updates from Bacardi Triangle.
