Pabst Brewing Company – the makers of the cheap beer swilled by youngsters across the world – will host a three-day music festival in Portland, Oregon, USA, a place that is considered the hipster capital of the world due to its liberal, young population.

The first annual Project Pabst will be centred around two outdoor shows – on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28, respectively –  in Portland’s South Waterfront District.  The festival will feature a gamut of indie artistes such as Modest Mouse, Tears For Fears, Guided By Voices, Rocket from the Crypt, Violent Femmes, Constantines, and more.

In addition to the two outdoor shows, there will be a series of late-night club shows slated to take place at various venues throughout Portland.

Pabst Brewing Co. is producing the event in collaboration with Superfly, the organisers of Outside Lands and Bonnaroo. Single-day and weekend passes are on sale now at the Project Pabst website. One dollar from each ticket goes to the Jeremy Wilson foundation, a non-profit which aids musicians in need of medical care.
