The festival celebrated more than just music.
The Wonderfruit Festival concluded its third edition this year and it was as epic as predicted. The Fields at the Siam Country Club in Thailand came alive to celebrate the bounty the Earth provides with over 10,000 guests for the most intricate festival experience ever.
The 16th to the 19th of February saw the festival hosting music acts like Rudimental, Nicole Moudaber, Young Fathers, Buke and Gase, Yena, Superglasses Ska Ensemble, Wolf + Lamb, KMLN, Sabo, Eric Volta and many more!

Founder and Creative Director of Wonderfruit, Pranitan “Pete” Phornprapha said, “What makes Wonderfruit distinct in terms of our organizational structure is that sustainability was our starting point and then the fun and activities were curated around that. We firmly believe that real change is driven by actions, not words so this year, on top of existing practice of using biodegradable water bottles and building from recyclable materials, we built a stage out of rice, planted more than 1,000 mangrove trees and managed to become a net positive event by investing in Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve in Borneo, Indonesia.”

They have stuck to their recyclable roots with the most interesting Farm Stage, with a statement creating rice bundle support system, to decorate the stage as well as support the traditional rice harvest that takes place in Thailand. They also partnered up with Johnnie Walker to launch #WEWILLKEEPWALKING, a campaign focused on offsetting carbon emissions. And obviously, everything was cashless with the help of RFID wristbands.

Even the Solar stage was designed to fit the innovative sustainability theme. Designer Gregg Fleishman stated, “This structure was designed for exploration through climbing to allow the community to come together and contemplate sacred geometry and the sacredness of existence. – vents like Wonderfruit that bring people together to appreciate their connections and surroundings, are the perfect place for this installation.”

But the excitement didn’t just stop there! With tons of food and art installations at every corner as well as a number of hangout spots, the event gave out the most immersive experience for the festival goers. A number of fire-breathers also turned up the heat at the festival grounds. Plus, the camp site looks like one out of a dream.
