Weeknd To Unite With Daft Punk Again?

The Weeknd has revealed in a recent interview that a second Daft Punk collaboration is on the way.

Are you in love with The Weeknd’s “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk? Well get ready because we have good news – you can look forward to another track from the R&B/dance collaboration. The iconic pop star teamed up with the French electronic legends to release the title track of his upcoming ‘Starboy’ album.

The Toronto-born, multiple Grammy-winning R&B artist and the puzzling French electronic duo hit it off in the studio to create not just one, but a pair of new works.

The biggest thing to come out of Starboy so far is its title track in collaboration with Daft Punk, and The Weeknd had a lot to say about working with the legendary electronic duo. “Their studio is like a spaceship, there’s a lot of gear,” he said, “but the way they make music, the way they explain it, is very cinematic. It’s like they’re reading a page out of a novel—‘We want to make sure that at the end, it feels like the sun’s coming up, and maybe there’s a car chase.’ They can get technical, but it was interesting how they visualise making music.”

Starboy has already arched itself to the top of the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart & peaked at No. 2 in the U.S. and U.K., where it’s his highest-charting song.

The wait for Starboy won’t be long. The Weeknd’s highly anticipated album arrives November 25, 2016. So stay tuned!

Just as a refresher of their combined magic, plug into to ‘Starboy’ once again. Coz we can’t get enough.
