The Weeknd shows absolutely no signs of slowing down as he unveils two brand new tracks!
It’s only been a couple of weeks since The Weeknd premiered his much awaited song with Daft Punk – ‘Starboy’. Although the song was on the receiving end of some mediocre reviews, the track went to to become a massive crowd favourite in just a matter of days. Now he’s back at it again, with a brilliant new release just days away from his album launch!
Confirming news that there was another track featuring Daft Punk, he just premiered the song ‘I Feel It Coming’. One of the biggest stand out features is the fact that the presence of Daft Punk’s production skills are much more pronounced in this track than they were in ‘Starboy’. The song takes a more laid back approach with the distinctive soft guitar picks and synth-bass backdrop and sees him channel his love for classic disco.
‘I Feel It Coming’ also happens to be the last track on the album which justifies the chilled out vibe. The best part is undoubtedly the presence of the trademark vocoder voices that have become synonymous with Daft Punk over the years.
He also previewed another track titled ‘Party Monster’ which is more of a late night anthem and a more R&B stylized song.
With just a few more days to go for the album launch, we have to say The Weeknd is stepping up his game!
