Watch The Brilliant Documentary On The Shambhala Music Festival

Just like the festival, the film too is in a class of it’s own, and you need to check it out.

The Shambhala Experience is a film about why people love this gorgeous festival, why countless passionate patrons return to the Salmo River Ranch every summer to participate in what they like to call, “a life changing experience”. The film delves into how the festival is no ordinary event, but is actually an amalgamation of creativity and independence where the people attending can truly be free of judgement and societal influence.

The makers of The Shambhala Experience have launched it digitally for fans of electronic music and cultural phenomena alike to download. To receive a digital download of The Shambhala Experience documentary, you need to contribute $10 or more towards funding the completion of the upcoming feature film I/O: An Electronic Music Documentary. This upcoming feature film explores some of the more fascinating qualities of electronic music festival culture in depth, and if this is the kind of thing you’re into, make a contribution on their Kickstarter page HERE!

Filmmaker Kevan McGovern of I/O (Input/Output) has worked on both films, bringing a new and innovative perspective to electronic music culture and the people that connect to it. I/O (Input/Output) examines the connection between electronic music, human beings, and cultural anthropology. The Shambhala Experience uses footage filmed from 2012-2014 at the festival, and you need to watch the trailer:
