Ultra Music Festival Reveals Massive Asian Expansion

Bali and Macau have been added to the cities that Ultra will invade this summer.

Following in the footsteps of Tokyo, Seoul and Bangkok, two more Asian cities have been added to the blistering Ultra calendar for this year. Following Ultra Japan’s hugely successful debut outing in September 2014, which sold out more than two months in advance and saw over 42,000 fans descend upon Tokyo’s gargantuan Odaiba Ultra Park for the largest electronic music event ever to take place on Japanese soil, the world’s most international festival brand ULTRA Worldwide  is spreading it’s wings and has locked down two of Asia’s most picturesque spots for corresponding editions – Bali, Indonesia and Macau.

Ultra Macau will take place at the CUBIC City of Dreams on Saturday, June 13, 2015, and will expect to welcome thousands of revelers to witness performances from some of the world’s most renowned DJs and live acts. Set to be hosted at Beachfront in Seminyak, Bali. Ultra Bali will take place on Friday, September 25, 2015, and will similarly be welcoming thousands of first-time Ultranauts to partake in a true beach experience.

They made the announcement via their Facebook page last night, and the Asian contingent are in for an absolute frenzy with so many top music festivals making their presence felt over the continent over the past couple of years. They’ve just released their after-movie of the record breaking Japan edition which should give you a dose of the crazy Asian following that Ultra possesses.

With just about 2 weeks to go for Ultra’s primary edition in Miami, the festival property are clearly on a roll. Ticket details have not yet been revealed but you can stay tuned to the Sherp for regular updates on the same.

Could this be the year of Ultra? Only time will tell.
