Top Reasons to book MOGA Festival

MOGA Festival is a stunning getaway in a desert location that runs October 11 – 13.

It takes place in a unique and historic place with a mix of local and international names all bringing the rhythms.

Here we offer up four reasons why you need to make the trip out to Morocco for the occasion.

The music

This is an obvious one but the music really is special at Moga. It mixes up international names with local talents, big stars and fast rising heroes.  Bradley Zero, Praslea, DJ W!ld, Louise Chen, Konstantin Sibold, Behrouz, Terekke, Amine K, Driss Skali, Kenny Dope, Marwan and tens more all play so expect an eclectic but tasteful selection.

The location

This beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site is a port city and resort on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah. It has canons, lining the outskirts and is an enchanting, laid-back alternative to the frenetic melting-pot of Marrakesh. It offers an authentic cultural experience with a wealth of things to explore and used to be a Portuguese port with a mainline to South America, leading to a laidback mix of Arabic-European architecture.

The accommodation

Festival goers will be three unforgettable days at SOFITEL Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa, which has a fun and laid back vibe. From noon until midnight there you will be able to enjoy the magnificent swimming pool, stroll through the olive garden, have the opportunity to relax in natural swimming pool and then keep on partying at the So Lounge, where headliners and new Moroccan and international talent will all line-up.

The extras

You should try and arrive early or leave late for MOGA because there is so much to explore nearby.  There are the world renowned and super colourful markets known as souks, plenty of art galleries including  Galerie la Kasbah and Galerie D’Art Damgaard and kite surfing, surfing, horse rides and quad rides in the Atlantic and on the nearby dunes. Magical.
