Tomorrowland Is Now Officially ‘The Largest Festival In The World’

Forbes & ticketing heavyweights Viagogo reveal numbers showing the top 10 festivals in the world. Check out the entire list below.

It’s official! There is now, no doubt, that ID&T’s Tomorrowland is the most demanded music festival in the world. The 10th anniversary of Tomorrowland this year has attracted unbelievable numbers, according to a joint metric study done by Forbes & Viagogo. Recording a 317% rise in weekend 2 ticket sales after a successful first weekend, over 400,000 tickets have been sold since.

Current ticket prices are running at a ridiculous $428 for a ONE DAY PASS. You can choose either ‘Magical Friday,‘Incredible Saturday,’ or ‘Glorious Sunday’. Outrageous isn’t it? But the same can be said for the demand Tomorrowland has generated this year, after deciding to expand over two weekends for the first time in their history. Here’s how the rest of the list looks like:

1. Tomorrowland (BE)
2. Stereosonic (AU)
3. Coachella (US)
4. Electric Daisy Carnival (US)
5. Isle of Wight Festival (UK)
6. Benicassim (ES)
7. The Rolling Stones and John Mayer – Pinkpop 2014 (NL)
8. V Festival (UK)
9. Ultra Music Festival 2014 (US)
10. Wireless (UK)

It’d be easy to look at the top of the list and assume that EDM festivals were in high demand everywhere, but Tomorrowland just has an especially impressive draw thanks to its impressive lineups and elaborate stages. The other two electronic music festivals on the list are both American (Electric Daisy and Ultra), but the rest are more traditionally rock-oriented festivals. Viagogo reports however that nearly every festival on its list has seen an increase in demand for tickets from 2013.
