German-based indoor gathering Time Warp have just announced an extra day to their much anticipated New York edition, as well as the venue where it’s all going down, via their newsletter subscription. For its 20th anniversary, one night isn’t good enough for Time Warp. The creators have announced Time Warp will be held over two nights, across two stages on November 28 and 29, at the Kingsbury Armory in the Bronx, New York.

According to a statement in the newsletter,

“We feel that techno does not belong in commercial space: techno lives and breathes in underground warehouses.”

Time Warp organisers will also import its iconic production The Cave for the US main stage. At the US edition, the makers will bring their elaborate stage designs, extravagant dance floor settings, and state-of-the-art video, lighting and laser technology. Challenging the musical and technological mainstream, Time Warp puts together line-ups that feature anything from deep house and minimal grooves, to techno and Detroit dance.

The first Time Warp was held in a warehouse in Mannheim, Germany, and going back to its underground roots on it’s 20th anniversary seems an apt way to celebrate the occasion. Stay tuned to The Sherp for line-up announcements and other news.
