Time Festival Returns With A Broad Lineup

Year after year, Toronto sees itself to be the host of a numerous amount of festivals that take place in all the grounds and spaces that Toronto has to offer. But yet, there’s one festival that stands out and doesn’t fit to the norms of sticking to one broad genre, but instead tries itself again and again to push against those boundaries so as to expose their listeners to the various sounds around them. That festival is Time Festival, and it’s back this year with another lineup that’ll prove those words right.

Time Festival takes away the walls that divide genres and sub-genres, and instead puts all their listeners in one giant ground that will allow them to view all acts, of all their genres. This year, they’ve managed to one-up their game with some heavy hitting acts like Die Antwoord, Mac Demarco, Freddie Gibbs, Tory Lanez, Alison Wonderland and many other acts. The wide range of music that comes from these artists display the absolute broad range of music you can expect to hear from Time Festival again this year, giving yourself a fresh perspective on what should be added and mixed into your iPod.

A one-day event at Fort York, Garrison Grounds, with blessed weather expected, you can bring a blanket and make it a picnic with your own live playlist, or you may come dressed for the event as you would for other festivals. Don’t forget to enjoy the elements of the festival and if you’re hungry, catch a bite at one of the food truck vendors. Time Festival won’t cost you nearly as much as most other Canadian summer festivals would; which gives you just another reason to check out this spectacular event before the sun runs out and the cold winter approaches by.
