The second edition of Tomorrowland’s American counterpart, TomorrowWorld, set the standard when it comes to live production. The Sherp documents what went down at the different stages at TomorrowWorld this year.
There are two things you are guaranteed when you attend a festival like TomorrowWorld – First, that the absolute best in dance music will be performing, and second, the production is going to be top notch. This year’s theme “The Arising of Life” came accompanied by a main stage design that will literally blew us away. A 426 ft. wide stage boasting a large volcano placed in the middle represented the center of the world, the left side of the stage represented the expansion of life on earth, and the right side represented organic life on earth symbolized with plants and a grand waterfall. A 100-foot tall work of brilliance.
Playing at this main stage was a privilege enjoyed by only the stars of EDM, but TomorrowWorld was about much more than that. There were a number of other stages that were done equal justice in terms of excellent artistes and stage production. The Sherp lists down some of them:
1. Trance Addict
This stage was home to #team140 fans. A line up that trance fans dream about. Jordan Suckley, Bryan Kearney and an insane B2B set with Simon Patterson and Arnej. Myon & Shane 54 and last, but definitely not least, the current torch bearers for trance, Aly & Fila. They occupied an esoteric looking tent with strange mushrooms growing all over.
2. MINUS
Minimal lovers had a reason to rejoice as their god, Richie Hawtin had the MINUS stage for the last day of TomorrowWorld. Maceo Plex definitely had one of the best sets of the entire festival. Richie did not disappoint at all.
3. Anjunadeep
Anjunadeep is Above & Beyond’s deep house imprint.. The label occupied a small, cozy stage that was tucked into the corner of festival. Deep house fans were in love with this stage. No fancy lights and screens at this stage but the mellow music was all that was needed to keep fans at this tree laden stage. Artists on this stage were 16 Bit Lolitas, Lane 8 and Jody Wisternoff.
4. Q Dance

5. It’s A Trap
Atlanta is home to one of the hottest, newest genres of electronic music. It only made sense to have an exclusive stage to showcase this genre. Trap all-stars like Brillz, Crizzly and Ookay, were on this stage. The turn up was real.
6. Mad Decent
Diplo is in high demand as a producer all over the world with him making beats for Rihanna and more he doesn’t forget about his Mad Decent family. Diplo brought his homies, Dillon Francis, TJR, GTA, Keys N Krates and had one hell of a party at the Mad Decent Stage.
7. OWSLA
Skrillex has set up, what is today, one of the most versatile and amazing record labels in a short period of times. The OWSLA crew was absolutely amazing at TomorrowWorld. Jack Beats, Alex Metric, Alvin Risk graced this stage.
8. Full on Ferry
Trance titan, Ferry Corsten brought the Full On experience back to TomorrowWorld this year. Ferry occupied a huge tent at TomorrowWorld. Ferry had his friends Cosmic Gate, Andrew Rayel, Audien and Orjan Nilsen play this stage.
9. Belgian Stage
ID&T was the company that started Tomorrowland in Belgium and to pay homage to Belgium. TomorrowWorld had a special Belgian stage showcasing some of the best DJs from Belgium. This year’s line up at the Belgian stage included Makasi, Mystique, Regi and Romeo Blanco.
10. All Gone Pete Tong
Pete Tong is probably one of the greatest curators for dance music to have ever lived. He is responsible for kickstarting the careers of countless superstars today. Pete invited legends like John Digweed and Jamie Jones to perform on his “It’s All Gone Pete Tong Stage”. If you don’t already know, there’s a movie called “It’s All Gone Pete Tong” which is inspired by Pete Tong.
