Love a good story? Then the Udaipur Tales Festival is where you need to be!
To celebrate the spirit of storytelling in all its glory, Udaipur is all set to host a three day international festival from the 24th to the 26th of February.
Dubbed the ‘Venice Of The East’, the romantic city of Udaipur is all set to host the Udaipur Tales Festival, presented by MA – My Anchor Foundation in association with BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Featuring storytellers from both India and abroad, this festival will witness a multitude of genres including humour, real-life, fantasy, sentimental and dark (for the late hours); all with the aim of keeping you on the edge of your seat! Hosting great storytellers including the likes of Shantanu Guha Ray, Varun Narain, Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak and Salil Mukhiya Koitsu, the event will receive that special touch from the ones who do it the best! Reviving a dying art form, stories with life-size puppets will also be a highlight to watch out for.

Speaking on the festival, Sushmita Shekhar (Director, UTF) shares, “We want people to enjoy the stories and the music, to loose themselves in the world of imagination and creativity. In the process, they will take back good memories and learn. All in all, we hope to create an atmosphere of education, enlightenment and entertainment––a perfect weekend outing for the whole family.”

With the ability to define an entire culture, shape our sense of morality and preserve our experiences for generations to come; storytelling gives voice to the myriads of stories held by thousands of civilizations in the world. Aiming to provide a platform to not just Indian but international storytellers as well, the festival gives them the opportunity to enlighten, engage, educate and entertain the audience through their stories.
Admission to the festival is by delegate pass and the fee is Rs 3000.
