9 Things We Loved About Vh1 Supersonic, 2014

Vh1 Supersonic was superb mix of good music, people and a brilliant vibe. Here are some of our favourite moments from the Goan beach festival!

1. Jono’s tribute to India

Let’s rewind to that amazing day in Bangalore when they kicked off the ABGT radio show, a 100 episodes later, every radio show is getting epic-er (is that a word? We feel like it should be).

2. Singing Happy Birthday Vh1

Not too many of you are aware of this, but VH1 celebrated its ten year anniversary, I’m sure the folks at VH1 would have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the crowd singing happy birthday for them. Cheers guys, here’s to more epicness.

3. Sneaky, sneaky drones

The colourful drone from the guys at Quidich, capturing all the energy from high up in the sky. Who doesn’t like a bird’s eye view right?

4. CO2 guns

The CO2 guns in full blast, quite literally. Everyone on stage, literally, every single person was walking around giving everyone their fair share of smoke. The good kind.

5. The lucky girl who got to push the button (We hate you so much!)

She must have spent days making that sign. But that’s a moment she’s going to cherish forever.

6. Horsing around

We’re sure a lot of you spotted the dude with the horse’s head. What a ‘party animal’. Haha, geddit? (we sincerely apologise for this, we’ve shipped the writer off to Siberia wearing a dress as punishment )

7. Nikhil & Pearl

Most of us assume Nikhil Chinappa is the man who put India on the map in the electronic scene. But it was quite heart-warming watching him attribute all his success to Pearl right after her set. It’s safe to say, without these two, the electronic music industry in India would be very different.

8. Albin Myers’ set

…..had the crowd leaping, but we don’t think anyone, and we mean anyone, was jumping as much as he was. Assuming he’s 6ft tall, and adding another two feet for his mohawk, this dude was getting some massive airtime, like ten feet in the air.

9. All hail Dash Berlin

Who got everyone in the crowd to jump to the left and then jump to the right – making ten thousand people jump to the left and right in unison is the recipe for one massive wave of epicness.
