1. Rock Al Parque

3. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

The perfect way to end the US summer music festival season, would be to head over to California for San Fran’s iconic and relaxed Hardly Stictly Bluegrass. The free for all festival is a testament to Cali’s relaxed vibe, as it is funded by a extremely generous human being, who also happens to be a billionaire and a bluegrass fanatic. San Francisco’s Gold Gate Park comes alive every October with this amazing festival.

4. Kala Ghoda Festival

What started as a small gathering of ardent music fans in 1981 today sees a massive crowd of over 35,000 fans from all over the world. Parkpop is one of the best known independent festivals in the Netherlands, having established its name early on in the ’80s. This festival not only sees a bunch of incredible acts, which are curated exclusively and adored by fans, but also am idiosyncratic environment of mutual respect for each other and the music. 6. Radio 1’s Big Weekend

This is probably the biggest free festival of free festivals. Every year, Radio 1 outdoes themselves with remarkable headliners and impeccable organizing, elevating free festivals to a whole new level. THis year the festival is set to take place in Exeter, United Kingdom, and Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, Chase and Status, Bring Me the Horizon and Craig David have all been confirmed to perform at the anticipated event.
