Bad news for the Bangalore contingent as the Austrailian singer-songwriter will not be able to make it to the festival; she will be replaced by the talented Appleonia
Some really fine artistes will light up the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in less than two from now, but the Bangalore line-up will be missing one of their prime performers — Sarah Blasko. Citing ‘unforeseen personal reasons’, the announcement of her absence was made via Weekender’s official Facebook page earlier today.
The Australian is renowned for weaving a lush tapestry by combining uncomplicated lyrics with part-breezy-part-buoyant tunes. A great performer on stage, she will be sorely missed at this year’s Bangalore gathering. But fret not, the organisers have lined up an equally outstanding replacement to fill in for Sarah this year.

Jessica Chapnik Kahn aka Appleonia will be performing in her stead. Born in Argentina and having immigrated to Sydney as a child, Kahn has toured and played in the bands of several Australian artistes, including Old Man River, Ben Lee and Sarah Blasko as well.
Chad Valley will feature in Kolkata’s line-up this year
