Red Earth’s Monsoon Festival Adds A Dash Of Colour To This Season

Red Earth’s The Monsoon Festival celebrates its 11th edition this August..

As a well established cultural festival in Delhi, The Monsoon Festival aims to celebrate the magic of the Indian monsoon with the old and the new, reviving forgotten traditional cultural practices and pioneering contemporary creative expressions. The monsoon has always spawned creativity in Indian art ranging from visual art, poetry, music, drama to festivals, food and other celebratory elements. That is exactly what TMF aims to capture and deliver in its three day event from August 4 to 6.

The festival has been described as “an inter-disciplinary, cross-arts, multi-sensory celebration of the varied
awakenings and experiences of the Indian monsoon, the king of Indian seasons.” It will play host to Water Waves: Red Earth Design Mela which features new design collections (Sarees, apparel, accessories and art) inspired by the season; and Nathdwara : Visual Cultures of Shrinathji, an exhibition of Pichvais and water-colours from Nathdwara.
