Moscow’s Premier Electronic Festival Shuts Down Prematurely, Resulting In Uproar

Russia’s best electronic music festival Outline shut its doors several hours before it was about to begin, citing various reasons for its closure and angering ravers.

While the ravers are hurling slurs at the government, the government is blaming the event’s organisers for the same. The festival’s cancellation came as a shock to many potential attendees, some of whom were really looking forward to the 3rd edition of this annual extravaganza.

The festival uploaded a Facebook post stating the same, and also said that money for tickets will be reimbursed.

In a report by Russia Beyond The Headlines, according to the prefect of Moscow’s Southeast District, the organizers had been late filing the application for holding the festival and the prosecutor’s office believes that Outline also had other problems.

It’s really sad when festivals get cancelled due to mismanagement, and this should be avoided at all costs while running a full-fledged event.
