This year too, the Hard Day Of The Dead festival brought together three things that are most celebratory – Halloween, rave culture and dance music, proving to be a party like no other.
You know what happens when dance music and Halloween combine? Just the wildest dressed party, that’s what. The Hard Day Of The Dead festival has always been incredibly popular for delivering just that. Organised around the time of the world’s favourite spookiest festival, Halloween, the event features some of the most sickest acts from the dance music scene. And celebrating the two together are some dedicated ravers turning up in their choicest spooky wear.
The Sherp takes you through some of the coolest and most dramatic Halloween get ups from the Hard Day of the Dead festival!
1. If a festival demands you bring your best Halloween face, then that is what you do!
2. Doesn’t matter if you’re a raver or a DJ, your spook game needs to be on point!
3. While some like DeadMau5 had it easy, with their live setup being eerie enough!
4. Some others dared to bring in the creeps through their live performances!
5. And speaking of producers being scary, Marshmello stole the show!
6. Enough about the producers, because the dance music fans who turned up stole the thunder when it came to being scary!
7. Of course, some treated Halloween as a national fancy dress parade by turning up as nonthreatening as one possibly can! Like these poop-heads.
8. Or these two sharks, who escaped from Katy Perry’s Superbowl performance. Who were they trying to scare?
9. Or this trio of penguins, trying to look thug, but are they really?
10. Or even this troupe who skipped their Sunday mass to be at the festival!
11. This group on the other hand drove the point of Halloween home with their skeletal get up!
12. Día de los Muertos inspired face make-up pretty much ruled the 2015 edition of Hard Day of the Dead.
13. Just look at that! So detailed and oh-so-breathtaking.
14. While this lady went all out in being spine-chillingly creepy!
15. While some played expertly with their faces, others decided to pay tribute to their favourites. Likes Jesus and Stormtroopers, for instance.
16. While a group of dubstep enthusiasts decided to take on the mighty Skrillex himself, another bunch played it safe with Santa Claus!
17. Evidently, there were quite the number of Skrillex fans!
18. And quite the few anime fans too!
19. But as the verdict stands, face paint legitimately killed it!
20. And so did the music!
