2. (Frozen) Yoda

“When I was younger, [Yoda] was one of my favorites. There are loads of scars and you’ve got to find a beautiful texture in the ice. There are different ways you can work with the ice. You can feel smooth textures and jagged textures. We use around 20 tools to work.” – Thomas Meloche, ice sculptor

We have to be really precise. The form, the design of the helmets of the troopers and all of those elements had to be studied in detail.” – Alex Girard, Artistic Director, Star Wars Ice Sculpture Festival
