PHOTO DIARY: The Wild Weekend That Was Vh1 Supersonic 2019

The seventh edition of Vh1 Supersonic was nothing short of spectacular and here are the photographs to prove it.
Vh1 Supersonic has been an essential player in India’s festival landscape ever since its inception in 2013. This year’s edition was a thrilling weekend-long celebration that featured 40+ acts across 4 stages. Mahalaxmi Lawns, Pune was buzzing with life as thousands of music lovers showed up and made it a memorable weekend.  Here’s what went down at Vh1 Supersonic 2019:

1. A friendly astronaut greeted everyone at the entrance

2. Sonic Realm was the festival’s massive, space-themed main stage

4. The festival attracted an energetic crowd that didn’t hesitate to dance all day long

5. Anik Khan’s authentic verses struck a chord with many

6. Zaeden and Lost Stories combined forces to rock the main stage

7. Good vibes were in abundance at Budweiser Brew District’s beer garden

9. SMAAASH’s pop-up arcade was the ideal place to challenge friends a basketball shootout

Other than staple arcade game’s like Dance Dance Revolution, SMAAASH’s entertainment zone also featured adult friendly, inflatable bouncy castles and a larger than life bowling alley.

10. Tropikillaz won the crowd over with their amazing set at Sonic Realm

13. Bonobo’s ethereal performance at the Live Stage left many spellbound

14. Indie fans rejoiced as Two Door Cinema Club made their highly anticipated debut in India

15. SuperFlea was the festival’s bustling marketplace that offered delicious treats

Some of Pune’s favorite eateries like Malaka Spice and Burger Barn were featured at the flea market. From oreo flavored gourmet kheer to t-shirts that reacted to music, there was no shortage of things to discover at SuperFlea.

16. There were also some neat places to relax and catch up with friends at SuperFlea

17. 10,0000 Lions SoundSystem’s stage had folks grooving to reggae music all weekend long

The custom built sound system was back again this year after all the love it got last year. Although this was the smallest stage, it was one of the most exciting areas at the festival.

18. Techno aficionados got their fix at the #BUDXAWAKENINGS Stage

Overall, the 2019 edition of the festival was an exhilarating experience! Vh1 Supersonic has certainly figured out all the elements that go into putting together a memorable festival.
