Partido EDM Festival, Mumbai

A blow-by-blow account of what to expect from the Partido EDM Festival.

PARTIDO’ is a unique and exciting EDM festival presented by Knack Exhibition & Display and Plus91 on the 31st May, 2013 at Tulip Star Hotel in Juhu.

For one day the whole of Tulip Star is going to be converted into a dreamy fairytale wonderland injected with the latest electronic dance beats by some of the world’s leading DJ’s including Allure from Netherlands, Bobina from Russia, Paul Thomas from UK and star of the show Richard Durand, also from the Netherlands.

 

Lineup Breakdown:

1.   Bobina

For the last 8 years, Bobina (aka Moscow-based DJ, producer & record label impresario Dmitry Almazov) has been at the forefront of Russia’s electronic dance breakout. His DJ adventures have taken him around the planet numerous times, playing tent-pole events including Global Gatherings, Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem, Trance Energy, and the Winter Music Conference.

2.   Allure

Allure teamed up with the greatest DJ of all time, Tiesto! Their collab ‘Pair of Dice’ resembles the warm sound of Ibiza 2012 and has been marked as a true clubhit by all experts. ‘Pair of Dice’ has been tested on tour by Tiesto and Allure, with an overload of overwhelming crowd reactions worldwide.

3.  Richard Durand

Richard Durand is a Dutch Disc jockey and record producer. His real name is Richard van Schooneveld. Starting his career in 2005, Durand was recommended by Tiësto as his ‘Tip For The Top in 2007’ in DJ Magazine. In that same year he was placed in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll. His first creations were tech trance singles “Make Me Scream” and “Slipping Away” on the Terminal 4 label, but his real success started with remixes of Tiësto singles “Lethal Industry“, “Flight 643” and “Break My Fall“, and reworks of The Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up” and Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” which brought him into the playlist of DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules and Eddie Halliwell.

4.  Paul Thomas

Having touring the world for the past 4 years and playing on 5 continents, Paul has headlined some of the best clubs in the world. Production is now as big a passion as DJing, and past releases include original productions for Toolroom, Little Mountain and Data, plus remixes of Underworld, Josh Wink, D Ramirez & Mark Knight, Sebastien Leger & Deadmau5.

Paul is no stranger to major events, having played for major dance festivals all over the world, and 2008 saw him return to play for the worlds biggest dance festival,Global Gathering, in the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Poland & Belarus. During 2008 his extensive tour schedule also took him to USA, South America, Asia and all over Europe.

5 . Daniel Portman

Daniel Portman was raised and born in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a really young age.

Quickly he acquired a large base of supporters from all sides of the planet, and his goal got fully arranged with DJ gigs on all areas. He made a significant major attack on the DJ picture doing on activities before significantly more than 10’000 people.
Through the years Daniel created a distinctive style and forward thinking of house music, which may be referred to as a combination of modern house and techno. But additionally with a capability to impress leading edge device music with soulful lines. Consequently his shows frequently complete the leading positions of Beatport’s Top 100 data and are quickly becoming basics for DJs every-where.

 

All in all, this one looks poised to be a real banger of an event.
