Looks Like New York Will Have Its Own ‘East Coast Coachella’ Soon

Despite initial troubles, it seems like Panorama festival is heading to New York.

We’ve spoken earlier about the potential New York City festival, which is dubbed as the ‘East Coast Coachella’. This festival was to be called Panorama and was scheduled to take place two weeks after Governors Ball. Unsurprisingly, GovBall was not too thrilled about this and launched a petition demanding the Mayor of NYC to reject the event proposal for June 2016. Looks like despite the petitions against this festival by Governors Ball and it’s loyal fans, the festival will be coming to New York. However, not without a few significant changes to the initial plan.

Panorama festival will take place at Randall’s Island Park. No more will it intercept Governor’s Ball either. The festival dates have been revealed as July 22-24. Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, and the one said to launch Panorama, describes the festival as, “Three days of music, art, technology, and local food offerings.”

What do you think about this festival so far? Let us know! Stay tuned for some more news.
