An LGBT Festival With A Mission In Chennai

The Chennai Rainbow Film Festival is celebrating its third year with the theme “Hues of Love”. And what better way to show the people about love than ask them for their perspective on the same!

The festival has invited filmmakers from all over the world to submit their films based on the theme for the same. Chennai Dost, a huge community group for the LGBT in South India, have called all the film makers and over 50 documentaries, feature films and short stories will be screened at the festival.

Apart from film screenings, they will also feature panel discussions, and cultural shows. According to Chennai Dost founder, Vikranth Prasanna, the aim of the festival is to raise awareness about the various issues faced by the LGBT among people and give film makers a platform to screen films which they might not have had the opportunity to do so due to funding.
