Kaaboo Festival Went Kaboom After A Riot

The festival was a bit too lit in this case.

Kaaboo Music Festival’s three day extravaganza included some big names in the music industry like Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, The Chainsmokers and many more. Everything was going smoothly but you know what they say, there’s a first time for everything.

The Chainsmokers had an epic set with unreleased tracks that had the crowd talking, but things went a bit downhill after. After performances by the duo and Aerosmith ended at 11 pm, people began to head toward the ENCORE stage to see Steve Aoki and Ludacris perform when they found that the capacity for the crowd was already full. This got the people a bit enraged who later got into several different altercations after trying to forcibly enter the venue. This ultimately led to the riot and people were separated using of pepper spray!

Ouch indeed, that stuff is horrid (please don’t test it out by yourself). A police helicopter also had to come to disperse the people. People were reportedly very scared and were having doubts about their own safety during that situation. Luckily no one was injured but four individuals were arrested for the altercation. An official statement from the Kaaboo Festival stated, “KAABOO and the Del Mar Fairgrounds apologise to those who were unable to enjoy ENCORE last night. The venue was at capacity. For the safety of our guests, security and the Sheriff’s Department dispersed any unruly crowds. There were no injuries.”

Hope the people who were innocent didn’t get that nasty stuff in their eyes.
