Worried about the October heat? Don’t fret. It’s time to beat the heat with some thumping beats! Yes, it is yet another year of the three-day extravaganza of GoMad Festival in Ooty. Get high on it; after all it’s a hill station.
Here are the international acts that will be playing at this year’s edition:
1. Jeramiah Ferrari
Adding to the reggae style of music, these guys make music from rock, punk, ska and calypso. Having attended The Manchester Evening News Arena with Will Young, Labrinth, Tulisa, Taio Cruz, Professor Green, Rizzle Kicks & One Direction, these lads mean business with their music.
2. Noori
Manwa Re & Suno Ke Main Hun Jawan. Are you aware of these tracks? Part of popular Pakistani mainstream music, their songs they have a rock edge to them. Check out why exactly they are this popular at ‘Go Mad’. 3. Luke Jon Shearer
“Close your eyes, open your mind” is more than a track and makes you do what it says. Luke Jon Shearer music’ is what can be termed as atmospheric indie rock and is worth checking out. They have a message hidden in tracks. Experience their music, it always gets to a whole new level.
4. Loryn
Very popular in electronic music & followed by young seas of humanity are Loryn. Being different from mainstream pop doesn’t really affect Loryn. He has a kind of music which just makes you want to listen to him over and over again.
5. Sabelo Mthembu
Three genres of classical music combined together is what Sabelo Mthembu is all about. These inspiring comrades marathon winner has afro soul, jazz & classical in his music.
6. 1001 Ways
Spreading ‘Gandhism‘ and 1001 ways go a long way with music. Who would have thought to use Gandhi’s voice spread his message. They make music with a purpose and the music gets better every time. Pop, fusion, world-beat is what they do.
