This is what a Surfing festival in India looks like.
Chennai’s Covelong Point Classic Surf and Music Festival , that took place late last month turned out to be a casual affair accompanied by lovely music, grade A surfing, beautiful waves and even better people.
With a spectacular display of raw surfing talent – both local and international, the surfing contest (that is the centre of the festival) expanded from national level competition to the Asian Surfing Competition , which brought in people from all over the continent! Cricketing legend Jonty Rhodes attended the festival as the official surf ambassador while the Covelong Point Surf School actually offered free lessons for anyone who was interested!
