Holi Celebrations You’d Be Stupid To Miss

This Holi, The Sherp’s got you sorted. Here’s his list of fantastic holi parties that will leave you high and not very dry.

 

1. The Lost Party

Where : Lavasa, Pune

If you thought that attending the Lost Party would foil your plans for Holi this year, there’s some really good news for you. The festival has a pretty sick Holi itinerary planned for it’s attendees. A 20-foot sprinkler is going to be installed at the venue with eco-friendly colors and a mind-blowing line-up of artists to boot like  Nucleya, Dualist Inquiry, Reggae Rajahs and many others.

 

2. Holi Reloaded

Where : Juhu, Mumbai

Providing fans the perfect escape from their everyday lives, Holi Reloaded unites people from all over India and connects them for one magical event. Holi Reloaded is India’s Premier Electronic Dance Music Holi Gathering and is back and ready to transform 2015 . With a stellar DJ line up designed to get you into the groove, Holi Reloaded is framing up to be nothing short of fantastic. Ankytrix will be decorating the lineup including The Mightyfools, Electrovertz,  Estiva , Dj Clement etc. So make sure that you don’t miss out.

 

 

3. Holy Cow

Where : Delhi

Holi Cow! – the festival of colour, dance, music and merry making is back for its 8th edition. The world’s first multi genre, multi stage festival dedicated to Holi is in full swing to bring to Holi Cow! fans an experience like no other.

Three stages and with over 30 artists and bands, this festival is easily one of the biggest holi celebrations there just yet. The lineup is yet to be released but we’re sure it’s gonna be pretty damn good.

 

4. Flyin Colours

Where : Juhu, Mumbai

Flyin colours is going to be banger, so make sure to tank up on the bhang. Featuring some choice dance music acts like Dj Makasi, Lost Stories, MissyK and many more!

 

5. Holi Circus

Where: Delhi

It’s a Holi party with the works – music dance and lots of colour. Watch out for three stages with EDM, Bollywood and Hip-Hop. Activities include rain dancing,trampolines, Holi clowns, jugglers, water balloons,paint guns and pretty much anything you want. 

 

6. Holi Looney presented by Culture Shock nights

Where : Bangalore

This Holi if you are up for a colourful psy-trance experience make sure to check out Holi Looney in Bangalore that will feature some of your favourite psy-trance artists. This is definitely a different approach to the Holi + EDM parties we’ve seen. To get a better idea of this festival here is there mission statement :

“The festival of Holi can be regarded as a celebration of the Colors of Unity & Brotherhood – an opportunity to forget all differences and indulge in unadulterated fun. It has traditionally been celebrated in high spirit without any distinction of cast, creed, color, race, status or sex. It is one occasion when sprinkling colored powder or colored water on each other breaks all barriers of discrimination so that everyone looks the same and universal brotherhood is reaffirmed. This is one simple reason to participate in this colorful festival.”  

 

7. RANG Festival 

Where: NH8, Gurgaon

Since it’s inception in 2008, RANG has been one of the most highly anticipated Holi congregations in India. With two stages and over 16 artists locked down for this year, Delhi peeps have their hands full this year with Ajja, Bass Pilots, Rohan Kale, Shiva Moon and other fine local talent assembled for you.
