Hidden Shades Festival is a music and art festival movement started by none other than GURBAX a.k.a Kunaal Gurbaxani a well-known name in the Indian electronic music circuit along with two other prodigious Bengaluru-based DJ/Producers Raka Ashok (RAKA) & Rumit Virmani (Kampai)
Their collective vision for the festival is not just to get the best sounds in music from the entire globe to the India shores, but also create a devoted family of music lovers to attend the festival and experience it as if it were their own home.
Prior to the festival, they are going to be hosting a series of club-shows known as ‘Showcases’ which are aimed at bringing many indie-music events at various clubs, events and campuses all over India. The very first Hidden Shades Showcase will be taking place this Friday on the 10th of February at The Humming Tree in Bangalore with some of the best bass/trap music artists we have come across.
Headlining the event will be HeRobust, the American DJ who has been supported by artists like Diplo, Skrillex, Flosstradamus, Marshmello and has released official remixes for Kill The Noise, Barely Alive, and NGHTMRE.
The festival will also feature a few supporting acts including GURBAX, a well-known name in the Indian Electronic Music Circuit alongside RAKA who has been combining heavy hitting drums with his unconventional sampling style for a while now and has performed with various well-known musicians Massive Attack, Epic Empire (France) and B.R.E.E.D. He will perform a B2B set with Kampai, the solo project by Rumit Virmani and lastly, MAGA who’s Moscow trap beats will drive the crowd wild.
Also get set for a special performance by the winner of the ‘Breakbounce Streetwear Opening Slot’ winner – Dha CK.
