Electric Zoo is an annual electronic music festival held over Labor Day weekend in New York City on Randall’s Island. The festival represents all genres of electronic music, bringing top international DJs and live acts from multiple countries to four stages.
In its 2009 inaugural year, 26,000 people attended to see artists like Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, David Guetta and Ferry Corsten. In 2011, Electric Zoo expanded to a 3-day festival and with 85,000 attendees. The festival has received International Dance Music Awards nominations consecutively from 2010 to 2013 for “Best Music Event”.
1. Your number one priority is to get a festival ticket.
A 3 Day General Access Pass will cost you about INR 18,000/-. This will give you access to an insane lineup with headliners such as Bassnectar, Tiesto, Hardwell, Carnage, Porter Robinson and The Chainsmokers along with a multitude of supporting acts.

3. Next up on your list should be sorting out you stay.
A hotel near Randall’s Island Park should cost you about INR 5000/- a night for two people. Since hotels tend to get booked quickly and prices tend to rise as the festival approaches it would be wise to book them now.
4. F&B tend to be pricey so be sure to plan your spendings.
Though we can’t tell you exactly how much Food & Beverages will cost you inside the festival, we do know that the only accepted mode of payment is an EZ Band which you can get at the festival. The scannable band can be loaded with your preferred amount of money with a conversion rate of $10 = 9 EZ Bucks. At the end of the festival you can get a refund of your leftover money for an additional $5 fee. Keeping all that in mind set aside approximately INR 15,000/- over three days as you can’t leave the venue since reentry is prohibited. Luckily you can carry a CamelBak or plastic container for free water refills inside.

With so much already spent for your festival experience, it might be difficult to fit sightseeing into your budget. Nevertheless if you choose to sight see, you can visit the places like the Statue Of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park and the Empire State Building or even take one of the popular cheap bus tours that are available throughout the city.
