Year after year, the team behind Ultra Miami push the boundaries to bring to their fans a line-up and experience that justifies the money they shell out to attend the festival. The festival had a tough 2014 after being slapped with lawsuit after lawsuit, and the team has battled its way into making 2015 happen. Here’s how this year’s Ultra Music Festival, Miami is going to be unlike its previous editions.
1. Ticket prices dropped
The exclusive registration tickets (phase one) were priced at $299.95 (INR 18,283) (Tier 1) and $379.95 (INR 23,160) (Tier 2). These prices are all-inclusive of taxes and fees though a nominal shipping surcharge will be added depending upon shipment location. General Admission tickets for the seventeenth edition of Ultra Music Festival, Miami were available at $449.95 (INR 27,426), nearly $50 less than the 2014 event. VIP tickets are priced at $1,149.95 (INR 70,095).
2. ASOT Showcase
Trance music’s front runners will host a special showcase at the festival. Surprisingly, it even has Eric Prydz on it and we can only wait to see what the Swede is going to bring with him this year.
3. Age restriction
The gathering will thankfully be rid of underage, over-exuberant children as Ultra Music Festival will be an ‘adults only’ event as they look to change one of their longstanding ‘no age limit’ policy.
4. Resistance
An underground line-up that will throw you off your hinges – Ultra Music Festival, Miami, will feature an elegant ‘Resistance‘ stage showcasing some of the best in the underground music business. It’s an attempt to urge the audience to step out of their comfort zone, and experience the true genius of a rather undiscovered section of electronic music.
5. Ultra WORLDWIDE stage goes ‘chill’ on Day 3
The Ultra WORLDWIDE stage has always drawn a large crowd at the festival and this year, the final day will be dominated by some of the best of tropical and deep house. Seems like a fitting end to the two days of non-stop destruction that will precede this roster – Bonobo (DJ Set), The Magician, Tensnake, Cashmere Cat, Thomas Jack, Goldroom, Klangkarussell, Le Youth, Jauz, Solidisco and Jessie Andrews.
6. The Eco Village
Ultra Music Festival will proudly welcome back ‘The Eco Village‘. This area of the festival hosts several interactive booths featuring representatives from various non-profit groups dedicated to raising awareness of important issues such as ecological sustainability, partying responsibly, cancer research, and more.
