Have Your Head Literally In The Clouds At This Architectural Festival

SO FLUFFY!

The Festival des Arcitectures Vives in Montpellier, France is a unique festival granting the general public access to typically restricted areas such as courtyards of private hotels and other buildings. These areas are used to display various art installations that reflect the architecture surrounding the temporary artworks. French collaborative duo Michaël Martins Afonso and Caroline Escaffre-Faure did something completely unique by creating a garden of levitating clouds that are usually hanging in the background away from all the buildings.

The project dubbed “Head in the Clouds,” aims to create a dreamland away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Attendees are invited to sit or stand within the fluffy orbs as they are encouraged to take a step back and just meditate, dream, or scheme amongst the strangely calming art.
