GTA 6 is without any doubt the most anticipated game of all time leading to an unreal hype before the release. Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that they are working on the next GTA game in February 2022. Rockstar Games stated, “We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.’
Back in 2013; the president of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies hinted at Rockstar’s trifecta of preferred GTA cities in an interview with Develop. From the past choices of cities by Rockstar one can predict that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City. GTA 5’s return to Los Angeles also backs up the theory; as Los Angeles was last featured in GTA San Andreas.
While we are on the subject of old GTA cities; a liberty city scene was uploaded on a Rockstar dev’s profile a few years back. As per reports, the same scene was found in GTA 5’s engine. There have been numerous instances that back up the theory of Rockstar’s obsession with old GTA maps. Rockstar once talked about their intention of adjoining all the GTA cities in one mega game, all of which sounds too good to be true but might as well agree with the fact that Rockstar does actually have the resources to pull this off.
Strong rumours from July 2021 along with many different sources, all hint at GTA 6 to be set in Vice City. As per these rumours, we can believe that GTA 6 will be set in Miami in a modern-day scenario. After GTA 5 was based in Los Angeles, Rockstar Games will most likely choose Miami for GTA6 as it makes a lot of sense and is also backed by a lot of rumours and references. After years and years of prediction, Vice City is most likely to host the most awaited GTA 6.
