GOAT Festival Is Not Just About The Music. It’s About The Complete Experience.

With just 2 weeks to go, there is so much to be excited about at GOAT festival!

The boutique music and arts festival is making its way to Goa with a beach on one side and a forest on the other to revel in. One of the reasons to spend your Republic Day weekend at the GOAT festival is the opportunity to witness some of the world’s most exciting musicians play their hearts out. But, if you haven’t booked your tickets yet, here are a few more reasons why you need to be at the festival!

From January 27-29, GOAT will present a veritable feast of sounds with the talents of Gilles Peterson, Hercules & Love Affair, Sarathy Korwar, Sandunes, Yussef Kamaal, DJ BLOT!, Marquis Hawkes, Kiasmos, Henry Wu, Medlar, Donn Bhat+Passenger Revelator, Kumail, Aqua Dominatrix, Madboy/Mink and many more!

However, music is not the only thing that you need to look forward to at the festival! Marbles and Ware Collective will be setting up a hub for theatre, storytelling, community and more at ‘The Jungle’. You can also embrace you spirit animal and connect with your ‘wild side’ through movement workshops, music and the tradition of storytelling. You can huddle around the ‘fireside feast’ everyday with poets, musicians, storytellers and everyone else and relish the stockpot which will be specially cooked everyday. Now that’s what we call delicious!

A special head-dress workshop will be held by India’s very own Little Shilpa, a haute couture costume creator who has designed for Lady Gaga. Better look out for good tips to add on some of that fashion flair; it’ll come handy for your festival look. Another interesting activity is sound bathing with Ying and Yang Yoga, a therapeutic activity which uses sounds and sound waves to calm you down. It will be conducted by East London gong-based specialist Ali Gunning. Bangalore-based artist Shilo Shiv Suleman will be constructing a number of installations around the venue as well as a special derelict building with her team of artists.

Goa is all about the food and the festival has definitely not forgotten that. A number of pop-up restaurants, gourmet dishes, local food, vegan options and street food will be available in plenty. But don’t worry about over-indulging because the festival has also organised the perfect way to lose that little food belly with water sports like paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking and wake boarding, thanks to Vaayu Ocean Adventures.

We hope you are convinced enough to book your tickets and take off to the land of chill. The weekend ticket will cost you INR 9,000 whereas the lux package for the same will cost you INR 15,000 with additional perks of a separate lounge area, special bars and secret sets by DJs.
