Obonjan, near the city of Sibenik – is an island that they hope to turn into the ideal party destination that is the serves as the point of convergence for not only music and art, but culture, philosophy, literature, and a whole lot more.

This announcement could possibly explain the absence of the Unknown Festival on the calendar this year, and hopefully means the inclusion of an amazing, all new festival with an unbeatable location next year!

Sound Channel’s Dan Blackledge, said to Music Week:

“We’ve been working on this project for three years which has given us time to carefully refine our ideas, our vision for the island of Obonjan is to regenerate the island and turn it into a truly unique concept, combining art and music, wellness, sustainable living, amazing food and drink and fun and creative accommodation, all on an idyllic island paradise.”

Sound Channel is rumoured to operate alongside Croatian company Gratiosus to transform the island into one insane destination for all things music, all things festival, and all things culture!

Stay tuned to The Sherp for more information on a hopeful new festival next year!
