Festival No 6 Is The Most Magical Boutique Festival We’ve Seen

Every September, Festival No 6 returns to this beautiful village of Portmeirion in Wales to enchant and delight people of all ages.

The perfect destination for backpackers and travellers, Festival No 6 has earned itself more than a few accolades for being intimate, stylish and awe-inspiring. The festival, which brings together the whole town, is also a healthy alternative to over-crowded and hedonistic EDM festivals, with its family-friendly camping areas and activities.

The music at boutique gala suits its setting perfectly, with a eccentric range of rock, folk and techno. Over the past two years artistes like James Blake, My Bloody Valentine, The Smiths and Manic Street Preachers have performed here.  Stages are set at different venues in the village i.e the town hall, the amphitheatre, the stone boat and the field over-looking the sea, among other spaces.

The classic Italianate village of Portmeirion in North Wales is stages this festival, named after the famous 1960’s cult TV series ”The Prisoner” which was filmed in the village. The award winning three day festival is a kaleidoscope of entertainment with music, art and performances ranging from poetry to pop and classical music.

“Portmeirion is the inspiration for the festival and the village… The surrounding woods come alive with a unique series of inspiring venues, hosting everything from intimate performances from iconic bands to engaging and enlightening talks, surreal street theatre to immersive interactive experiences, all woven together to create a magical festival experience like no other.”

The forest also doubles up as a space for intimate music and theatre events.

Like a town right out of the Italian Riviera….

… where you can play life-size chess and participate in garish costume parades.

There are amazing treasure hunts too — to find hidden installations and stages…
