Asia’s largest festival at sea, ‘It’s The Ship’, launches a platform, Deck Selecta, for select DJs to perform aboard the cruise festival, from November 17th to 20th!
Imagine being on a cruise festival floating on some of the most pristine waters in the world, let alone playing a DJ set to a crowd of party flockers aboard Asia’s largest festival on the sea! Yes, that could be a reality, if you are a DJ and have the desire for days on the sea, partying in Moby Dick territory! ‘It’s The Ship’ brings to you DJs a unique opportunity to experience the festival or rather be the festival! ‘Deck Selecta’ is the competition where thousands of DJs will battle it out to prove their might, and only 3 will be selected, from any region of the world, to play at the festival.
CRITERIA:
- You need to be a DJ! *well that goes without saying!*
- Participating DJs must upload one original track and one 45-minute mix (including 2 original tracks and an accurate set list) to either SoundCloud or Mixcloud, titled “Deck Selecta – <ARTIST NAME>”
- Once this is done, head over here and fill the “Deck Selecta” contest form.
- Entries are open to anyone over the age of 18. Submissions close on July 27th at 5:30 am.
- 3 lucky winners will get the chance to perform during the festival to a 4000 strong crowd!
The entries are not limited to DJs from any particular region. The selected DJs will be brought down to the festival from any region, all inclusive of travel and accommodation aboard Dream Cruises’ luxury cruise liner Genting Dream’s luxury cabins.
The cruise festival sets sail from Singapore on November 17th for a round-trip to Phuket and back on the 20th. What’s more, the selected DJ’s will get to fraternize and play alongside some of the top A-List talents, who will be playing at the festival.

Reservations for ‘It’s The Ship’ are in full swing with the early bird Phase 1 tickets having already sold out. Sales for the early bird Phase 2 tickets are underway and you might want to hurry up and grab them before they sell out! This year, ‘It’s The Ship’ brings forth a special sale of passes exclusively to solo travellers. The Roommate Match initiative clubs together two solo travellers, so that they may share the experience and cut down on the cost of attending the festival alone. The initiative allows for solo travellers to meet people from over 50 different countries.
