The Exchange x AVA, Mumbai Will Feature Some Really Interesting Indian Speakers!

UK Trade & Investment, Belfast AVA Festival and Irish Generator NI will together present The Exchange x AVA, a day-long electronic music conference.

With the ADE Sessions set to happen in Mumbai this April (Read More HERE), it seems the number of electronic music conferences in India are gradually increasing. This is of course due to several Indian artists making waves internationally with their music and organizers putting up world class festivals making India a great potential market. Additionally, such conferences expose Indians to great work being done both locally and internationally while gaining firsthand insight into the industry. On March 9, the Belfast AVA Festival, UKTI and Generator NI have partnered with Indian brands Submerge and Bhavishyavani Sound System to host The Exchange x AVA, an electronic music conference and showcase in Mumbai.

The day long conference features industry pioneers such as Mark Lawrence, chief executive Association for Electronic Music, AVA festival curator and creative producer Sarah McBriar, Paul Hamill, CEO Inflyte app and legendary Irish DJ and producer Phil Kieran.

Indian speakers include Arjun Sankalia, director, publishing and international music at Sony Music, Munbir Chawla, co-founder Wild City, VH1 Supersonic curator Nikhil Chinapa and Roopak Saluja, founder & chief executive officer at The 120 Media Collective. Avinash Kumar of BLOT! and Kaycee, owner of Pixadoo Visuals will talk about adding visuals to your music while the remixing and production talk will be joined by Sandunes and Big City Harmonics.

Following the conference is a musical showcase featuring Space Dimension Controller, Phil Kieran and Psycatron from Ireland. Local acts include M.Mat B2B Sandunes, Big City Harmonics and Perfectiming with visuals by Guerrilla Shout & Oblique.

Since its first edition in November 2014, The Exchange has grown into a highly-successful international conference-based initiative to connect the music industry sectors in India and UK. The Mumbai session seeks to encourage engagement and collaboration between industry stakeholders in the Indian music industry with their UK counterparts, and also to discuss the challenges and rewards of working in the electronic music industry in 2016.

The entire conference and showcase will take place at The Khar Social, Mumbai and is completely FREE for anyone who wishes to attend, all you need to do is REGISTER HERE.
