The deadly shooting has caused the festival organisers to take a drastic step.
The fatal shooting that took place at BPM Festival’s edition in Playa del Carmen, took the lives of people and caused huge amount of worry for the festival organisers. They have released another statement with some rather sad news.
The organisers have taken the decision to cancel the recently announced plans for the festival’s expansion in Brazil. The expansion was set to launch in the month of April but has been pushed back for a while in light of this incident. Read their full statement here:
The statement mentions that they are planning to move forward with their edition in Portugal in September after Mexican officials banned the festival from Playa del Carmen where it has been taking place since the past 10 years.
