Australia’s progressive music and arts festival is back with a huge line up of experimental Aussie and international acts pushing the boundaries of hip hop, R&B, rock, punk, electronica and pop. After three years at The Forum, Sugar Mountain will hit Melbourne’s VCA (Victorian College of the Arts) in January next year, expanding to include five stages, inside and out.
Organizers have announced the line-up which features a diverse range of bands and artistes, including a headlining spot from hip-hop legend Nas, who’ll be performing his classic album Illmatic in full, as well as Ariel Pink, Body/Head, ODESZA, Swans, and more. Check out the entire billing:
2015 is a big year for the Melbourne festival. Having spent three years at the famed Forum Theatre, in 2013 the Sugar Mountain crew teamed up with Melbourne music icons the Mushroom Group to craft one of the festival’s biggest lineups in its short history.
In addition to the incredible musical lineup, organisers have made sure all your senses are satisfied, teaming up with notable Melbourne eateries and artists to stimulate your taste buds and your visual senses.
Tickets hit sale on Monday, 20th October. Stay tuned to The Sherp for more on this. Log on to their official website for more details.
