The second edition of the American version of Tomorrowland is set to rock Atlanta, Georgia, in less than three days’ time; and The Sherp sheds light on a few things about this year’s edition that will surely have all the non-attendees booking their slots next year
TomorrowWorld promises to be unlike any other music festival that you have been to. From the moment you step foot in the Chattahoochee Hills, it feels like the festival takes place in a completely different world. From the various districts to the creatures walking all over the stage, it is truly a magical experience.
The USA is home to a majority of the top music festivals in the world, with Ultra, EDC and TomorrowWorld battling it out against each other, year after year. Although this year’s TomorrowWorld will only be the second one yet, the festival has cemented its place at the top of the chain, owing much of its success to its incredible organisers- ID&T.
In The Sherp’s opinion, TomorrowWorld edges out on top in terms of providing the complete festival experience. Heres why:
1. Stage supremacy
The first edition of the festival had eight main stages stretching over 500 acres of land in the rural hills of Atlanta, Georgia. Each stage is completely unique in size, location, structure and genre of performance. The main stage hosted the 180-by-90-foot Book of Wisdom set that made its first festival appearance at the 2012 Tomorrowland festival in Belgium.
This year’s massive volcano main stage stretches as long as a football field and pairs DJs with pyrotechnics, fireworks, water fountains, live performers and other surprises. There are a number of stages this year too, check them all out below:
2. Dreamville
TomorrowWorld’s vibrant camping city is expanding in 2014 and is expected to welcome 35,000 fans per night. Located directly on the festival grounds, DreamVille is like a magical nomadic city that was laid down in the middle of Chatahoochee Hills outside Atlanta. The campsite also features a marketplace with amazing food and all of your essential needs, a boardwalk, and a newspaper printed every morning with highlights from the previous day.

3. Age restriction can make the difference
The EDM culture has been absorbed very successfully by the younger lot, but plenty of juveniles turn up at festivals looking for the time of their lives, and end up remembering nothing at all. TomorrowWorld has enforced a strict 21+ age restriction, and this is a great move. Maturity levels differ with people and although some may comply with the decision to just allow adults to experience TomorrowWorld, but having a more experienced and aged crowd does guarantee an incident-free festival.
4. The line-up is quite simply, the best
TomorrowWorld will welcome nearly 300 of the world’s best DJs from nearly every electronic genre in 2014. Last year featured Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Hardwell and Armin Van Buuren, just to name a few. Look beyond the star DJs at TomorrowWorld and discover stages dedicated solely to Techno, Deep House, Dub-Step, Hardstyle, Trance and more.
TomorrowWorld’s roster contains an impressive range of seasoned, as well as up and coming outfits. Watch out for the young guns, lead by one of 2014’s most acclaimed artists – Kygo, who replaces the unwell Avicii.
5. Supreme location
The Chattahoochee Hills are located just outside Atlanta, Georgia and it’s just like being in Belgium, with rolling hills, lakes and a natural grass amphitheater around the main stage. DreamVille campers must actually cross a specially built bridge over a beautiful lake to enter the festival grounds. To get to some of the stages, there is a walk through a trail in the woods.
The location for holding a festival such as this has been handpicked perfectly.
