Why Lightning In A Bottle Will Be The Best Festival You Will Ever Attend

A truly life changing experience.

LIB, which is from May 25-30 this year, is a festival where you can expect to completely transform yourself. Here are all the reasons why you should head down to sunny California to have one of the best experiences of your life.

Where it’s located

The festival has perhaps one of the best locations in the world. The San Antonio Lake Recreation Area, where the festival is located is situated on a picturesque place of land far away from the stress of the city. The distance helps you disconnect and truly immerse yourself in the experience. Also, the scenic location allows a rare coming together with nature that you cannot really experience in any other music festival.

The music

Though it’s not just a music festival, it does have a pretty insane lineup. The festival has gotten bigger and better every year. This year’s lineup includes Chet Faker, Grimes, Ibeyi and Cashmere Cat.

As the festival is organised by the prestigious Do Lab, so it’s expected that the festival stages will be pretty insane. The festival hosts three stages which are Thunder Stage (which also features in Coachella), Woogie Stage (which is inspired by Woogie Weekend, another festival also hosted by Do Lab) and the Lightning Stage. The stages are part of the entire festival experience just like the eclectic crowd, LIB just wouldn’t be the same without them.

It’s about so much more than the music

It’s a festival that really truly changes you. The atmosphere has been ranked as one of the best in all of US and this is because it is an experience that is unparalleled. Known particularly well for its environmentally cohesive policies, like the Leave It Better, Leave It Beautiful approach to festival conduct you could say it is quite similar to the Burning Man idea of ‘leave nothing behind’. LIB is the only American festival to have received the A Greener Festival’s Outstanding Award for five years running for its healthy food vendors, free water stations, composting and recycling infrastructure.

The Temple of Consciousness

Quite exactly what it sounds like, the Temple is the nucleus of the festival. It is the one place where you can go and learn all kinds of new things. As the name suggests, the temple focuses on bringing all your senses to life, it’s a process to get back to your core instincts. You can learn new skills or show off your old ones here with absolutely no judgement. Better yet, most festival goers tend to join each other in these artistic ventures. It is established firmly on the sense of community and functions on the rules of brotherhood. From Yoga to painting, the Temple gives you the freedom to pursue any of your arts.
