10 Of The Best Electronic Music Festivals Happening This July

July is the month to rave!

Tomorrowland and Ultra Europe are happening in the same month, and so are EDC UK and the Mad Decent Block Party. Also, by the end of July, Croatia’s festival season officially begins, and goes on till the following month. July is the best time for electronic music festivals, and we have listed 10 such festivals to prove why.

1. Tomorrowland Belgium

The holy grail of all electronic music festivals is back this month. Its Belgian ticket section sold out in 40 minutes. In terms of the lineup, those who were hungry for that deadmau5 x Eric Prydz B2B won’t be hungry anymore. From the usual biggies in the scene to amazing new upstarts, everyone’s going to be at Tomorrowland, and so should you. Tomorrowland Brazil was phenomenal this year; expect the same vibes in the place where it all started.

2. EDC UK

EDC made its foray into the UK back in 2014, and has since grown really fast. 2016 is going to be one hell of a carnival. Four stages of huge names will turn the gigantic Milton Keynes Bowl into the biggest dance floor, as EDC’s beautiful stages and off-the-hook visual effects set the British rave scene alight one more. It’s also where Avicii’s going to perform one of his last few sets before he retires, so it’s going to be big.

3. Ultra Europe

The Croatian summer will kick off by the end of this month, and so will Ultra Europe. One of the biggest festivals in the country, it is undoubtedly on par with Ultra Miami in terms of magnitude, and there’ll be several off-parties, on boats, hotels, clubs; you name a place and there’ll be a party. Ultra Europe is the commencement of a long Croatian summer party dotted with some of the best festivals Europe has to offer. To see just how good it was last year, watch their aftermovie right here!

4. Movement Croatia

Arguably the best techno festival in the world, Movement has ventured out of its birthplace Detroit to look for new territories, and has found a gem in Croatia. The biggest techno party is coming to Croatia this July, and it’ll go on for 5 nights, with 3 stages full of thumping techno. Big names like Sven Vath, Solomun and Nina Kraviz are going to perform, and you shouldn’t miss this one if you’re into underground music.

5. Dominator

Dominator is for all fans of raw, unadulterated, genuine hardcore that happens in the Netherlands every year. Being one of the premier events of the famous festival promotion Q-dance (the guys that run Defqon. 1), Dominator doesn’t disappoint at all. If you want your dose of hardcore and want to mosh to the sound of heavily distorted kicks and run amok, Dominator is for you.

6. Mad Decent Block Party

Mad Decent Block Party season is finally here! Along with this official trailer, Diplo also uploaded another weird, self-deprecating and really hilarious promo for MDBP. Those who’ve been to previous Block Party editions know just how insane it gets there. The festivities kick off in Florida on the 30th of this month, and will happen in multiple cities. The entire Mad Decent roster is billed on the lineup. It’s going to be good.

7. Digital Dreams

Canada’s largest electronic music festival Digital Dreams is back this month, with a stellar lineup to boast of. Above & Beyond, Knife Party, Danny Tenaglia and many more talented artists are going to make their presence felt. 2015 was an insane edition, and 2016 looks to top that.

8. Woogie Weekend

Lightning In A Bottle has a really popular stage called Woogie, showcasing the best in house and techno. The stage got so popular that it became a full-blown festival called Woogie Weekend, run by the masters themselves, the famed Do LaB. The lineup this year features Jon Hopkins, Claptone, Eli & Fur, Damian Lazarus and many more creative acts.

9. Secret Garden Party

The Secret Garden Party is a really indie electronic festival that happens in England, and amasses more than 26000 visitors every year. It’s a treat for revellers around the world, and has good vibes written all over it. With more than 15 stages of all shapes and types, and several attractions and art installations, Secret Garden Party is unlike any other.

10. Bass Coast

Nestled in the picturesque Nicola Valley, Bass Coast’s intimate setting puts you close to the action: 100+ international and local artists, three immersive audio-visual environments with world class sound design by PK Sound, illuminating workshops and over 50 original art installations. It’s a festival unlike any other; it retains a sense of uniqueness in the expanse of electronic festivals around the world. It’ll begin on the 8th of July.
