This Psy-Trance Party In Turkey Could Just Be Your Dream Festival

Psy-Boutique Festival, held in Butterfly Valley, in the Turkish city of Fethiye, is a small little secret that you could make yours now!

Psy-Boutique Festival might have begun as a group holiday in 2010, but today, it has everything you might want in a niche, psy gathering. A secret, private beach-side area. Done. Path-breaking DJs on the line-up. Done. Incredible activities to indulge in during the stay? Hell, yes. The festival — which will take place from September 19-21 — is held every two years, and this is the third edition. Here’s what you can look forward to. Previously called the Sundance Boutique Festival, the event promises to be a bigger and better affair this year.

The location

The venue is the festival’s biggest USP. It’s why people wait for months to get a chance to be part of this experience. The Butterfly Valley is reachable only by boat, and is nestled between a steep gorge. The place derives its name from the fact that it is home to beautiful endemic butterflies.

The line-up

This year’s roster includes biggies like the French dub veteran Gaudi, trance DJ Shane Gobi, techno star Dickster, chill-out and downtempo genius Mirror System (Aka System 7), among many others.

The festival promises that the music will run for 72 hours, and besides psy-trance, there will be plenty of genres for every kind of music enthusiast, such as minimal, techno, tech house and others.

The experience

At Psy Boutique, the organisers would like you to just come with your essentials. This is what the website says:

“We’d like you to be able to arrive with just your backpack and we’ll provide the rest – accommodation with beds, clean toilets and showers. We view the DJs as part of our community and we invite them to stay for the entire festival and enjoy the lovely Turkish coastline with us.”

Beside taking part in the musical festivities, there’s loads to do. Take a swim in the blue waters, go rafting, take a walk to a nearby waterfall, or just sit back and read a book by the bay.
