America’s dance music wonder kid – Audien – has rooted his place as one of the finest young talents in the Anjuna Beats & Armada army. He will be coming down for a 3 – city tour starting with Delhi in 2 days time.
Prior to his much-hyped performances, the progressive house ace shares with us some of his favorite tracks:
1. Michael Jackson – Slave To The Rhythm (Audien Remix)
Okay, maybe its weird to start this playlist with my own remix, but I got to remix MICHAEL JACKSON. He was a genre-bending icon who has influenced multiple generations of artists. It was truly an honor to work on this track.
2. Galantis – You
This one has been in my sets for a long time. I love love love the vocal and melody.
3. Porter Robinson – Lionhearted (Arty Remix)
I applaud my friend Porter for making a fantastic album, and staying true to his convictions as an artist. This is a beautiful track. Arty’s remix is great and tastefully takes this song to the dance floor.
4. Above & Beyond – Blue Sky Action
A&B doing what they do best.
5. The Eagles – One Of These Nights
Okay its not a dance track. But it does have a sick groove. The Eagles are masters of melody and harmony, and a big inspiration to me currently. When Don Henley goes falsetto on this song – CHILLS!
6. Mercer & DJ Snake – Lunatic
A staple in my live sets this year. It connects every time. An absolute banger.
7. Henry Fong – Stand Up
Another big track that breaks up some of the more uplifting melodic tracks in my set. Henry is a super nice guy and talented producer. Its fun running into him at festivals.
8. Madeon – The City
I love everything about this track. The vocal, the funk, the melody, the production. Madeon is the truth. If you don’t know, now you know.
9. Audien & Matthew Koma – Serotonin
Another of mine. Matthew is clearly the premier vocalist in dance music and it was a thrill to work with him on this track. I love this one because it shows a bit of my experimental side. There will be more of that coming soon.
10. Don Diablo – Anytime
If you want to have a good night – Don is the guy you want to see. He’s a great dude and clever producer. This track is just one example.
