This week, some of the most ardent festival-goers from Europe and around the globe will flock at Croatia, the tiny coastal country nestled in Central Europe. Most of these revellers will be heading to either (or both) of these upcoming festivals. While the Outlook Festival begins tomorrow (September-7), the Unknown Festival will soon follow (September 8-12). Let’s find out what each festival has in store for party-goers
1. VENUE
Unknown Festival
The festival is held near the picturesque town of Rovinj, which sits adjacent to the beautiful Adriatic Sea. The highlights of the five-day event are the island bashes and boat parties.
Outlook Festival
The festival takes place outside of the city of Pula, at the spectacular coastal fortress, Fort Punta Christo. The party itself is held at over 10 different locations across the space, comprising a garden, a clearing, a harbour and a moat. This festival also hosts boat parties.
2. LINE-UP
Unknown Festival
Has a massive list of artistes on the bill. The live set performers include Chic Feat Nile Rodgers, Chvrches, Forest Swords, Henrik Schwarz and James Holden, among others. The DJs playing at the fest comprise Disclosure, Âme, Daniel Avery, Dixon and Koze.

The 2014 line-up has over 300 artistes, including headliners Action Bronson, Andy C, Barrington Levy, Buraka Som Sistema, DJ Premier and Jah Shaka, among many other biggies.

3. AMBIANCE AND ACTIVITIES
Unknown Festival
If you’re looking for a vacation that is equal parts thrilling and relaxing, then there cannot be a better destination than Unknown. The sun, sand and sea make it an excellent place for a music outing. If you want to spend your day the easy way, you can swim, sun-bathe or just take a stroll around the idyllic place. If you’re of the sporty variety, you could take part in the many games and activities at the venue.

Spread over many small arenas, the festival has a lot to offer – from history to blue waters and secret hideouts. This is a place where you wouldn’t mind getting lost. At Outlook, there’s something for everyone.
