One of India’s most versatile electronica producer and performer, Donn Bhat, just dropped his new album ‘Connected’!
Donn Bhat has been consistently known for creating music that is not classifiable into genres but has an own distinct taste and style. The third album in his discography, ‘Connected‘, follows his debut album ‘One Way Circle‘ and ‘Passenger Revelator‘ in 2014! The previously released albums boasted of varying genres, right from disco, pop, funk and electronica.

‘Connected’, sees a set of 7 tunes which again don’t succumb to genre classification and presents listeners with 7 tunes that are totally individualistic and unique in their feel. The album sees him come together and work with some of his favourite collaborators likeΒ vocalist Toymob aka Ashhar Farooqui, percussionist Anand Bhagat and Indian classical musician and Sarangi player Suhail Yusuf Khan. Ultimately the album tends to be an amalgamation of varying tempos and different genres!
βThis album is a diary of a certain time in my life. It is a further exploration between electronica and acoustic instruments combined with lyrical song-writing. It continues where the last album left off and Iβve had the luxury of collaborating and featuring myΒ favouriteΒ musicians for the album like Toymob and Suhail Yusuf Khanβ says Donn Bhat.
The themes of the songs revolve around modern day relationships, the current political environment and contemplative lyrics about humanity and life.

The ‘Connected’ album launch tour is going through India this month and is going to span from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai. The performance is going to be a live ensemble with Donn Bhat+Passenger Revelator accompanied with live vocals and percussionists. Make sure you catch them live!
